Flow-Tronic FLO-SONIC OCFM
Permanent AC/DC or battery operated velocity processor and monitor to be used with the FLO-SONIC Open Channel Ultrasonic Transit-Time Velocity Sensors.
The Flow-Tronic FLO-SONIC device uses the very latest electronic technology combined with highly efficient digital signal processing (DSP). The DSP technique maximizes the system performance, this granting the user significant benefits.
The FLO-SONIC device measures the velocity of the liquid and displays it on the screen.
In order to get a complete flow measurement system with GPRS data transmission and logger functions, the FLO-SONIC should be combined with the Flow-Tronic UNI-TRANS.
The FLO-SONIC OCFM system consits therefore of one or more FLO-SONIC Ultrasonic Speed processors associated to one UNI-TRANS flow processor and monitor.

Technique: The FLO-SONIC OCFM system utilizes the multiple parallel acoustic path transit time velocity measurement technique, associated to one or more level sensors determining the wetted area. The FLO-SONIC OCFM system allows very accurate measurement (up +/-2%), even in large pipes and channels. The system can be configured to measure flow ranging from partially full to surcharge conditions. Depending upon accuracy requirements and applications, the flowmeter can be set-up operating 1 to 4 acoustic paths with cross path if required. Additional velocity sensing technologies like Radar, Electromagnetic and Ultrasonic Doppler can be used to measure velocity during extremely low levels, conditions where no transit time path is wetted. |
