The FLO-DAR™ Family of flowmeters provides a revolutionary approach to open channel flow monitoring. FLO-DAR™ combines digital Doppler radar velocity-sensing technology with ultrasonic pulse echo level sensing to remotely measure open channel flows.


The FLO-DAR™ sensor is positioned above the flow thereby avoiding all the problems associated with traditional flowmeters when the sensor is immersed in the flow.
The model 4000SR can be fixed up to 1.5 meter above the water surface. If this distance needs to be larger, use the Flo-Dar model 4000 LR (long range) for up to 6 meters.



The FLO-DAR™ flowmeter provides the user with highly accurate flow measurements under a wide range of flows and site conditions such as:

  1. Shallow flow
  2. High velocities
  3. Flows with high solid content
  4. Caustic flows
  5. High Temperatures Flows
  6. Large sewers
