The Flo-Dar Family of flowmeters provides a revolutionary approach to open channel flow monitoring. Flo-Dar combines digital Doppler radar velocity-sensing technology with ultrasonic pulse echo level sensing to remotely measure open channel flows.
The FLO-DAR™ sensor is positioned above the flow thereby avoiding all the problems associated with traditional flowmeters when the sensor is immersed in the flow.
The model 4000LR can be fixed up to 6 meters above the water surface. For distances below 1.5 meter, the use of the Flo-Dar model 4000 SR (standard range) is recommended.
The FLO-DAR™ flowmeter provides the user with highly accurate flow measurements under a wide range of flows and site conditions such as:
- Shallow flow
- High velocities
- Flows with high solid content
- Caustic flows
- High Temperatures Flows
- Large sewers
